I'm really pleased with this one from you Erica. First of all...the linework...this style might be perfect for you simply because your linework I find a little bit distracting. You usually vary your line widths but randomly and without reason. You know you should vary the width, but maybe not why you should. These lines are beautiful, clean and confident. Secondly, her feet are great. Perhaps turning her right food inwards just a bit more would've really pushed the cuteness, but the feet, compared to usual are very well developed. A+ Sorry for making this long...have I mentioned I like this piece? One last thing...the hands...I've got no doubt in my mind that within the next few drawings, you're gonna wow me with them, but on this particular piece, the hands seem useless. You drew them because, well, a girl isn't so cute without them. There just doesn't seem to be more thought than that put into them. (I still struggle with this...It takes alot of work to draw hands...especially expressive ones...and most time I'd rather just draw them in some cheap limp position-avoid that!) Good luck Erica and I hope you get some consistant internet soon.
hey...don't get me wrong...I'm not saying these have to be masterpieces at all. I don't believe that was ever the point. I enjoy this moreso because I'm drawing everyday. It's really hard to do, but I'm soooo happy that 43 days into it I've stuck to my gun, and learned a few things along the way. I don't expect you to be able to dedicate a few hours a day to these, but if you even just become a little bit more confident in your own drawing ability, this blog has served it's purpose.
nice one! the legs are off (you have a tendency to do this weird pose quite a lot) Also, one foot is bigger than the other... there wouldn't be that much difference in size from this distance.
Heri haha what can I say? I love art and I love the 400 girls blog! I look forward to it everyday especially since the 4 of them are so talented in 4 different styles I like to see what they'll think of next!
