while I was scanning this I bumped the scanner and it made a little wobble in the lines... I thought it was a good idea so I re-scanned and moved the drawing around while it was scanning. Thus making something interesting out of a boring drawing.

coloring book

I liked how the line drawing came out but I decided instead of playing it safe and working up the values with hatching I would color it in like a coloring book. Then I decided it would be fun to color it in like a kid would, all messy-like. It was kind of a half hearted attempt though... your eyes are paying dearly.

I went to the park and drew this today. I tried a different nib this time (G-pen instead of a Joseph Gillott 170). It was easier to use because it wasn't as flexible but didnt allow for as much subtletly (it's not like I'm able to utilize the subtlety with my big paws anyway though)

So this is a great example of why you shouldn't drink and draw. I travelled home for the weekend, went out to a bar and happened to run into my cousin who's keeping close tabs on this blog...she got on my case about not having drawn my girl for the day yet. Well...needless to say, I had to try to sketch one out at the bar when I was in the bag. I apologize.
